In April 1970, Paul McCartney was to release a statement stating that he had left The Beatles with no intention of ever getting back together with the group. In the days before Paul was set to release McCartney, Ringo paid Paul a visit to convince Paul to change his release date so as not to conflict with the release date of Let it Be.
