For the next couple of releases, Let ‘Em In and Here Comes the Moon, John was basically in retirement raising Sean at this point and didn’t want to be bothered to do any solo stuff yet alone contribute tracks to the next collection. He shipped off album cuts, unreleased songs and demos, which the other three debated on embellishing. They decided to use a couple anyway, kind of like saying, “Well, this is what John is up to these days, so let’s give it a rest.”

George and Paul began to discuss recording some songs together to make the collections a little more interesting. It wasn’t accomplished for this collection, even though Wings was reduced to a trio during this period. Paul and George’s style though was as Beatlesque as anything since the early 70s, most specifically London Town and Here Comes the Moon.
